·         Kerala's Edayur Chilli and Kuttiattoor Mango have been granted G.I certification.

·         Kerala is a biodiversity hotspot with unique agricultural commodities that have been nurtured by farmers for millennia.

·         In 2019, the Tirur Vettila, or betel leaf, from Kerala was also given a GI tag. Tirur Vettila is grown in Tirur and the surrounding areas of the Malappuram district and is recognised for its high levels of total chlorophyll and protein in fresh leaves.
