Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan declared Kochi a "dementia-friendly city" while launching the Udbodh dementia-friendly district programme.
Udbodh is a collaboration between the Cochin University of Science and Technology's Neuro Science department, the Ernakulam district administration, and the Kochi Municipal Corporation.
The project's first phase was opened by the Chief Minister.
The project's goal is to raise public awareness of dementia's rising prevalence.
