  • In Ladakh, Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pandey inaugurated the Kargil International Marathon in September 2022.
  • It was inaugurated with by flagging off a 42 Km Full Marathon.
  • Over 2000 runners took part in the Full (10 Km) and Half (5 Km) run in the marathon organized by Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil, Ladakh Police in collaboration with Sarhad Pune.
  • Meanwhile, the start and finish point of all races was the Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium Biamathang where participants were appreciated for showing their performance in the marathon and were felicitated with medals and certificates.
