The Jharkhand Widow Remarriage Promotion Scheme, set to be launched by Chief Minister Champai Soren, aims to provide financial support of Rs 2 lakh to widows who choose to remarry. This initiative seeks to empower widows, enhance their living standards, and integrate them into mainstream society.
Secretary of Women and Children Welfare, Manoj Kumar, highlighted the importance of this scheme in improving the lives of widows, stating that it would enable them to lead dignified lives and contribute more effectively to society and the nation. By promoting widow remarriage and providing financial assistance, the government aims to uplift widows and ensure their meaningful participation in social and economic activities.
