ISRO successfully completed the flight acceptance hot testing of the cryogenic engine for the LVM3-M6 mission on March 14, 2025, at IPRC, Mahendragiri.
For the first time, the CE20 cryogenic engine was tested for 100 seconds in non-vacuum conditions with a nozzle protection system.
This new testing method reduced setup time and effort, leading to faster delivery of cryogenic stages and improved mission effectiveness.
The CE20 engine successfully met all testing objectives and will be integrated into the cryogenic upper stage of the LVM3-M6 mission scheduled for launch in the second half of 2025.
