International Literacy Day: 08 September

•        International Literacy Day is celebrated globally on 8 September every year.

•        The day spreads awareness about the importance of literacy for individuals, communities and societies and the need for intensive efforts for more literate societies.

•        The theme of the 55th International Literacy Day is “Literacy for Human-Centered Recovery: Bridging the Digital Divide”.
