  • Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan participated at the opening session of ‘Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa’ in Senegal. 
  • The event was inaugurated by President of Senegal, Macky Sall in Dakar.
  • This is the first time that India is participating in the forum at a Ministerial level.
  • For two days delegates and participants in the conference will focus on the continent's security challenges. The event is attended by ministers, the military, and representatives of international organizations.
