  • Every year on November 16th, the International Day of Tolerance is commemorated and observed in order to promote mutual understanding among cultures and people.
  • The United Nations (UN) celebrated the 125th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's birth in 1995, as well as the UN's Year of Tolerance. UNESCO established a prize for this purpose, which is awarded every two years on November 16th, International Day of Tolerance.
  • International Day for Tolerance understands that we live in a beautifully diverse world that consists of mixed communities and we should treasure this diversity.
