International Human Unity Day is celebrated every year on 20 December.
This day is celebrated with the aim of celebrating 'unity in diversity' and making people aware about the importance of human solidarity.
According to the Millennium Declaration of the United Nations, solidarity is one of the fundamental values that are essential for international relations.
The United Nations General Assembly had approved the proposal to celebrate this day in the year 2005.
This day was celebrated for the first time in the year 2006.
The theme of International Human Unity Day 2023 is 'Advocating for Change'.
