  • Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Tarini entered Goa port on Tuesday 23 May 2023 with a six-member crew, which reached India after successfully completing a 17,000 nm (nautical mile) inter-ocean inter-continental voyage after 188 days.
  • Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani and Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar welcomed the six-member crew aboard the jetty.
  • The crew had two women officers (Lt Cdr Dilna K and Lt Cdr Roopa A) who undertook the entire expedition from Goa to Rio de Janeiro via Cape Town and back.
