The Maharashtra government has decided to confer the first 'Udyog Ratna' award on veteran industrialist and chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, Ratan Tata
Awards for young entrepreneur, woman entrepreneur and Marathi entrepreneur will also be given, state Industries minister Uday Samant announced in the state legislative
'Udyog Ratna' is like Maharashtra Bhushan, ratan Tata being awarded 'Udyog Ratna' is a recognition of his outstanding achievements in the industrial sector
