Indian Railways has decided to use modern composite sleepers for bridge approaches and points & crossings.
These sleepers are lighter, carry higher loads, offer better cushioning, and are easier to maintain.
AI-enabled Ground Penetration Radar will be used in inspection vehicles for track monitoring.
Magnetic Particle Testing will improve detection of defects in track welding for enhanced safety.
