In 2023, Indian pharmaceutical exports ranked 11th globally in value terms, contributing 3% of total global pharmaceutical exports, as per Union Minister Anupriya Patel’s statement in Rajya Sabha.
The CDSCO and Ministry of Health have implemented measures to ensure drug quality, while the Pharma Sahi Daam (PSD) mobile app provides drug pricing details for consumer transparency.
