  • The Indian Navy, in collaboration with the AYUSH and other ministries, has deployed its ships in the Indian Ocean Region to form a ring to commemorate the International Day of Yoga (IDY) today. 
  • The formation has been christened as 'Ocean Ring of Yoga' that symbolises unity and solidarity.
  • Onboard Indian naval ships such as Kiltan, Chennai, Shivalik, Sunayna, Trishul, Tarkash, Vagir, Sumitra, and Brahmaputra, various yoga day events and activities are being organized. These ships are currently stationed in the Indian Ocean Region.
  • The Indian Navy has been a prominent advocate of yoga on an international level for several years.
  • Yoga sessions are regularly organized at foreign ports visited by Indian Naval ships, spreading awareness about the numerous benefits of yoga and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
