The Indian Institute of Science is a top Indian research and educational institution located in Bengaluru.
In October 2023, scientists of this institute have developed a new type of enzyme mimetic nano PTA.
This Nano PTA converts water containing industrial pollutants into clean water.
It effectively destroys toxic chemicals in industrial waste water in sunlight.
This nanoenzyme is not only highly specific in breaking down certain substrates, but is also robust as it can withstand a range of pH and temperature changes.
