India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) discussed expanding collaboration in the space and maritime sectors during the 13th meeting of the High-Level Joint Task Force on Investments in Abu Dhabi. Co-chaired by India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the forum reviewed investment projects like Bharat Mart and initiatives to integrate payment systems, including linking India’s UPI with UAE platforms. Non-oil trade between the two nations rose 34% in the first half of 2025 to nearly $38 billion under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) 2022.
