  • India successfully test-fired an indigenously developed Long Range Bomb. Developed by DRDO, this bomb was tested by the Indian Air Force through an aerial platform.
  • The bomb was dropped from a fighter aircraft and was guided to a long-range based target in the ground.
  • Long range bombs are also called smart bombs, because after dropping it, its direction and speed can be changed. This makes these bombs infallible and proves to be dangerous in destroying their bases.
