  • India has successfully conducted the first test of 'Mission Divyastra', in which the indigenously developed Agni-5 missile was first flight tested with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology. This allows the same missile to specify several warheads in different places.
  • With the testing of Mission Divyastra, India has joined the select group of countries with MIRV capability. The system is equipped with indigenous avionics systems and high-precision sensor packages, which ensure that re-entry carriers reach the target points with desired accuracy.
