India ranks 24th out of 33 countries in a global survey on support for free speech conducted by The Future of Free Speech, a U.S.-based think tank.
The most support in Scandinavian countries – countries like Norway, Denmark, and Sweden showed the highest support for freedom of expression, while this support was the lowest in Muslim-majority and Global South countries.
