  • From 6 to 8 October, the fifth edition of Exercise "JIMEX" between the Indian Navy (IN) and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) began in the Arabian Sea.
  • "Through the demonstration of a variety of advanced exercises across the entire spectrum of maritime operations, 'GIMEX-21' aims to build a common understanding of operational procedures and promote interoperability.
  • In January 2012, a series of exercises began with an emphasis on maritime security cooperation.
  • The most recent edition was held in September 2020.
