India and Singapore signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to promote digitalization (digital corridor) and decarbonization (green shipping) in the maritime sector, which will lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and an acceleration in the use of digital solutions.
This partnership aims to develop a Green and Digital Shipping Corridor (GDSC) by combining India's capacity for the production and export of green marine fuels and Singapore's role as a global maritime hub, thereby fostering innovation and sustainability in the maritime sector.
