  • According to the second advance estimates of the Ministry of Agriculture, India has achieved a record food grain production in the 2024-25 session. 
  • The Kharif food grain production is 16.6391 million tonnes, while the Rabi production (excluding summer crops) is 16.4527 million tonnes. 
  • The wheat production has reached an all-time high of 11.5430 million tonnes, which is higher than last year's 11.3292 million tonnes. 
  • The Kharif rice production has remarkably increased to 12.0679 million tonnes, while maize production has also increased. 
  • India's wheat production has reached a record 11.5430 million tonnes, with an increase of 0.7420 million tonnes in Kharif rice production compared to last year.
