  • Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has announced the completion of genome sequencing of ten thousand isolates of tuberculosis, or TB. 
  • The aim of this nationwide initiative is to tackle drug-resistant TB using genomics and artificial intelligence. Mr. Singh stated that the government's goal is to make the country TB-free by the year 2025.
