The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has introduced a new category at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to celebrate debutant filmmakers, featuring an award for the Best Debut Director of an Indian Feature Film with a cash prize of ₹5 lakh and a certificate.
The 55th IFFI is scheduled to be held in Goa from November 20 to 28.
