Hanukkah celebrations are being held from December 7 to 15.
Hanukkah is a Jewish festival.
It is the 'Festival of Lights' of Judaism.
On eight consecutive nights, Jews gather with family and friends to light an additional candle in the menorah.
In Hebrew, Hanukkah means 'dedication'.
It marks the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem in the 2nd century BC.
When a small group of Jewish fighters liberated it from the occupation of foreign forces.
A menorah is lit in every home and is traditionally placed where it can be seen from the outside, such as a door or window, symbolizing the spread of God's light to all nations.
