The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has delivered the heaviest semi-cryogenic propellant tank (SC120- LOX) ever fabricated to the Indian Space Research Organization (Isro).
The tank will be used in future missions by the Mk-III launch vehicle.
The first developmental welded hardware is a semi-cryo-liquid oxygen (LOX) tank, which is part of the SC120 stage, which is intended for payload enhancement by replacing the L110 stage in the existing Mk-III launch vehicle.
For the past five decades, HAL has collaborated with Isro as a strategic and dependable partner for India's prestigious space programmes.
HAL has delivered critical structures, tanks, satellite structures for the PSLV, GSLV-Mk-II and GSLV-Mk III launch vehicles.
