The Gujarat government has approved ₹1,250 crore under the Namo Laxmi Scheme for the 2025–26 academic year, benefiting over 12 lakh girls studying in Classes 9 to 12. The state-sponsored scheme supports secondary and higher secondary education of girls by providing structured financial assistance over four years. Launched under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the initiative aims to prevent dropouts and promote girls’ education, health, and long-term empowerment.
