Recently, a Guinness World Record was created by lighting 22 lakh lamps in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
These 22 lakh lamps were lit on the banks of Saryu river.
A new world record was created for lighting a large number of lamps simultaneously at one place.
25 thousand volunteers were deployed to light these 22 lakh lamps.
These 22 lakh lamps were lit at 51 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi on the banks of river Saryu.
Representatives of the Guinness Book of World Records officially recognized Ayodhya's achievement, using drones to count the lamps.
In the year 2022, 17 lakh lamps were lit.
