The Indian government is launching "Sahkar Taxi," a cooperative-based ride-hailing service to compete with Ola, Uber, and other private players, ensuring that all profits go directly to drivers.
The service will register two-wheeler taxis, rickshaws, and four-wheeler taxis, providing more transportation options for commuters across the country.
With increasing internet adoption, changing lifestyles, and rising incomes, India's ride-hailing market is expanding rapidly, creating room for more players like Sahkar Taxi to bridge the gap between supply and demand.
