  • It is a unique platform for global river cities to ideate, network, and learn to promote river-centric development in urban areas.
  • A total of 9 countries are included in this alliance.
  • The names of these 9 countries are – India, Denmark, Cambodia, Japan, Bhutan, Australia, Netherlands, Egypt and Ghana.
  • Under this alliance, India's National Mission for Clean Ganga signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mississippi River Cities and Towns Initiative (MRCTI).
