  • In accordance with the provision of Section 11(1) of the "Chief Election Commissioner and other Election Commissioners (Appointment, Conditions of Service and Tenure) Act, 2023" in connection with this decision of the Election Commission, the President accepted the resignation tendered by Shri Arun Goel, Election Commissioner on March 9, 2024.
  • Arun Goel is a former IAS officer of the Punjab cadre who officially took over his assignment as the Election Commission on 21st November 2022.
