Egypt is a country located in the North African continent.
Recently Egypt has announced that it is building a new administrative capital.
This new capital is 45 km from the present capital Cairo.
The area of the proposed new capital will be 700 square kilometers.
The population of Cairo, the current capital of Egypt, has increased significantly.
At present its population has reached about 2 crores.
A solar power plant will be set up in an area of 90 square km outside the new capital city, which will generate its own electricity.
Artificial lakes will be created around the city.
The estimated cost is Rs 3.30 lakh crore in this project.
This new capital will be constructed by the year 2030.
