The Election Commission of India directed the Maharashtra government to appoint Bhushan Gagrani as the new Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), replacing Iqbal Singh Chahal.
Bhushan Gagrani, a 1990 batch IAS officer, is the first Chartered Officer (IAS) in India to secure an All India third rank with Marathi language.
He holds multiple degrees, including Ph.D. in Management from Mumbai University and a Master’s in Management from the University of Birmingham, London.
