Sanjay Mukherjee appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of West Bengal by the Election Commission of India.
Mukherjee is an experienced IPS officer from the 1989 batch.
He succeeds Vivek Sahay in the role of DGP.
Sanjay Mukherjee's father, Late Arun Prasad Mukherjee, had a distinguished career in law enforcement and governance.
