  • The Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Professor Abhay Karandikar, has handed over the charge of CEO of the National Research Foundation to Dr. Shivkumar Kalyanaraman.
  • Professor Karandikar was serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Research Foundation (ANRF). Along with this, Dr. Shivkumar has taken charge as the CEO of ANRF. 
  • Its purpose is to initiate, develop and promote research and development (R&D) and to advance the culture of research and innovation in universities, colleges, research institutions, and R&D laboratories in India.
