The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, signed an MoU with Pfizer Limited on September 4, 2025, to strengthen India’s healthcare innovation ecosystem. The collaboration aims to accelerate healthcare innovations from lab to market by offering financial and non-financial support to DPIIT-recognized startups. Through the Pfizer INDovation program, selected startups will receive grants of up to ₹60 lakhs along with an 18-month incubation program led by Social Alpha. The initiative focuses on clinical validation, regulatory approvals, go-to-market strategies, and includes mentorship, infrastructure, global exposure, and access to Pfizer’s R&D facilities in Chennai.
