  • Divya Deshmukh, India's newest Woman Grand Master, was crowned First Grandmaster in Budapest, Hungary.
  • Divya earned her first WGM norm at the Velammal International Women Round Robin Tournament in 2018, and her second at the Aeroflot Open in 2019.
  • She earned five points out of nine rounds and a rating performance of 2452 to secure her third and final WGM-norm.
