Burkina Faso's Berlin-based architect Diebdo Francis Kéré has become the first African and the first black person to receive the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Award.
Pritzker Prize is the highest and most prestigious honour in architecture field, founded in 1979.
Francis Kere is the 51st winner of the award and the first Black person to receive the honour.
Diebedo Francis Kéré is also the recipient of the 2004 Aga Khan Prize for Architecture.
