Devendra Jhajharia, a two-time Paralympic gold medallist, has received the honour of being elected as the new President of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI).
He won gold medals in the F46 disability category at the 2004 Athens and 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Former Paralympian Deepa Malik, who was earlier president, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the government's support when the suspension was revoked.
