This coalition keeps the far-right Freedom Party, which won the most votes in the September 29 elections, out of power.
  • Following the resignation of Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, Christian Stocker, the Secretary General of the Austrian People's Party, was appointed as interim leader.
