  • The Union Ministry for Environment, Forest and Climate Change has designated 5th of October to be celebrated as National Dolphin Day every year, beginning from 2022.
  • The day will aim to create awareness for conservation of Dolphins.
  • This information was given by Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupendra Yadav on March 25, 2022, during the 67th meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Board for Wild Life in New Delhi.
