  • Bichom, carved out of West and East Kameng, formed the 27th district of Arunachal Pradesh. Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the district and laid the foundation stone of its headquarters at Napangphung.
  • It is made up of West/East Kameng District, headquartered in Napangphung, which had been a demand since 1984.
