  • The "most modern" Habibganj railway station in Bhopal has been renamed after Gond queen Rani Kamlapati.
  • Rani Kamlapati was the widow Gond ruler of Nizam Shah, chief of Ginnorgarh. The Gond community comprises the largest tribal group of India with more than 1.2 crore population.
  • The renamed and redeveloped railway station is being inaugurated on November 15, the birth anniversary of the iconic 19th-century tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda.
