· The first consignment of the GI-designated sweet dish Mihidana, imported from Bardhaman in West Bengal, has arrived in Bahrain.
· This is part of the government's initiative to promote indigenous and geographically identified (GI) products.
· Mihidana is on display (and available for sampling) at Aljazira superstores in Bahrain.

v Mihidana is an Indian sweet from Burdwan, West Bengal, India. Mihidana, described as the micro cuisine of the traditional Boondi, is derived from two words, Mihi meaning fine, and Dana, meaning grain.
