Rajasthan's shooter Avani Lekhara has created history at the Paris Paralympics. Avani won the gold medal in the women's 10 meter air rifle event.

Avani Lekhara has created history by becoming the first Indian woman to win two gold medals at the Paris Paralympics.
Avani, who won the gold medal for India at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020, targeted the gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle (SH1) event at the Paris Paralympics 2024 (August 30.
Avani scored 249.7 in the final, which is a Paralympic record. Avani had set the previous record of 249.6 points in Tokyo.
