  • The 2023 Asian Games were recently concluded in Hangzhou, China.
  • This was the Asian Games of the year 2022 which could not be held in 2022 due to the Corona epidemic.

  • India won a total of 107 medals including 28 gold, 38 silver and 41 bronze medals in the Asian Games, 2023.
  • India finished fourth in the medal table with 107 medals.
  • India had won 70 medals in the last Asian Games 2018.
  • China topped the medal table.
  • China won a total of 382 medals including 200 gold, 111 silver and 71 bronze.
  • Japan, which stood second, won a total of 186 medals.
  • South Korea stood third, winning a total of 190 medals.
  • Although South Korea won more medals than Japan, its gold medals were less than Japan, hence it remained below Japan.
  • Most medals won in athletics in India.
  • India won 29 medals in athletics including 6 gold, 14 silver and 9 bronze.
  • After this, maximum 22 medals were won in shooting.
  • In this game, Uzbekistan finished fifth and Chinese Taipei finished sixth.
  • The next Asian Games will be held in Nagoya, Japan in the year 2026.
