  • A 1998-batch officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre has been appointed as Inspector General in CRPF. This appointment is crucial to the larger security measures he has undertaken.
  • The security of the Parliament House complex is being changed drastically after the events on December 13. Through this new appointment, more strictness is being taken in terms of security so as to ensure the safety of both local and foreign party members of Parliament.
