  • Anshu Malik made history by becoming the first Indian woman to win a silver medal at the World Wrestling Championships.
  • Anshu Malik was defeated 4-1 in the final by Olympic medalist Helen Maroulis in Oslo, Norway.
  • During the summit match, the American wrestler pinned Anshu Malik in the women's 57 kg division.
  • Since 2016, Anshu Malik has been a trainee at the SAI National Centre of Excellence in Lucknow. Anshu Malik has two Asian Championship medals, one of which is gold, and one of which is silver in the Ranking Series.
