All India Radio (Akashvaani) News has launched a news bulletin in Gondi, the dominant dialect of a tribal community in Chhattisgarh, from 21st May 2023.
The weekly news bulletin in Gondi will be broadcast every Sunday from 6.30 pm.
It will be broadcast from the Jagdalpur Akashvani Kendra, the divisional headquarters of the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. This bulletin can be heard in all seven districts of the Bastar division.
Akashvani News had already started a weekly news bulletin in Halbi.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Halbi news bulletin on March 25th, 2023.
