  • All India Radio (Akashvaani) News has launched a news bulletin in Gondi, the dominant dialect of a tribal community in Chhattisgarh, from 21st May 2023.
  • The weekly news bulletin in Gondi will be broadcast every Sunday from 6.30 pm.
  • It will be broadcast from the Jagdalpur Akashvani Kendra, the divisional headquarters of the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. This bulletin can be heard in all seven districts of the Bastar division.
  • Akashvani News had already started a weekly news bulletin in Halbi.
  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Halbi news bulletin on March 25th, 2023.
