24 writers receive Sahitya Akademi Award for 2023

Twenty-four writers, including Neelum Saran Gaur and Sanjeev, received the Sahitya Akademi Award for their literary works.
The awards were given for various literary genres, including poetry, novels, short stories, essays, and literary studies.
Writers from various Indian languages were honored, reflecting the rich linguistic diversity of India. The awardees hailed from languages such as Urdu, Punjabi, Dogri, Gujarati, Kashmiri, Manipuri, Odia, Rajasthani, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Assamese, Bodo, Konkani, Santali, Telugu, Kannada, Maithili, and Nepali.
The award ceremony coincided with the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Sahitya Akademi, highlighting the importance of literary excellence and fostering cultural appreciation across the nation.
